The game starts where bone: Out from Boneville left, with the arrival of the bone cousins in barrel Haven just in time for the spring fair and annual cow race. In this game of the third person, the player gets to control all three cousins of the os (using a technique similar to that used in the adventure game LucasArts Day of the Tentacle). Fone Bone, struck by the lovely Thorn, must find a way to impress her. Funny bone cooks up a scheme to defraud the people of their eggs hard earned during the race of cow and fits with its cousin Be Happy Smiley.
